Zee TV’s recently launched show – Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile – has kept the audience hooked with its intense drama and sharp dialogue game.
Mumbai: What’s more, is the chemistry between Bharat Ahlawwat and Ayushi Khurana, the fans have a new favourite Jodi that they are rooting for! However, it’s not often you see fiery on-screen rivals morph into giggling besties as soon as the director yells, “Cut!” But that’s the reality for besties Bharat and Ayushi whose characters – Reet and Raghav – are true enemies who definitely don’t get along.
Their on-screen rivalry is gripping and keeps viewers on the edge of their seats! But what fans don’t see is the friendship behind the scenes, which plays a big part in making their performances so powerful.
Bharat said, “People are always surprised when they see how close we are off-screen. I get it, our characters can’t stand each other! But behind the cameras, Ayushi is a very good friend of mine. We have known each other as professionals from a long time now, and while we were not in touch regularly, ever since we met for the mock shoot of Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, we hit it off. Even on the set, we are always hanging out together during the breaks, having our meals together, or just unwinding with music in our rooms. However, when it comes to performing serious scenes with each other, we definitely turn into the worst enemies for one another, and that’s what I like the most about us – that our performance is actually enhanced because of the bond we share and we understand how we would react to particular sequences. We often compliment each other or help each other give our best takes and I think that’s visible on-screen as well.”
Ayushi added, “My friendship with Bharat is truly special. If I’m having a tough day or struggling with a scene, he is the first to jump in to support me or crack a joke to lighten the mood. I remember one day when I was really upset and had been crying since morning, he went out of his way to cheer me up and lighten my mood. He handled my mood swings with so much care and compassion. That’s the kind of friend everyone needs in life. However, I must add that as soon as the cameras roll, we’re all in, yelling, glaring, fighting, and so on, whatever the scene demands from us. But as soon as it’s over, we’re right back to laugh about it.”
While this off-screen bond is getting stronger day by day, it will be interesting for the viewers to watch how Reet and Raghav’s relationship unfolds in the upcoming episodes of the show.
